I had a relatively uneventful weekend. Bowling, parties, friends. However last night, as I headed back into the suburbs towards home, the train car behind the one i was riding in erupted in beautifully horrific sparks and flames. People screamed and clamored to get out as the car filled with smoke. Luckily no one was hurt, everyone got off, and life moved on.
But for a moment I honestly believed it wouldn’t, because days after I got here this happened. And last week the government pulled their subsidy from the system. My life didn’t flash before my eyes; my only thought was how I could get out of the train and back home. Not this house with the nice Argentine family. Home. With the correct obelisk downtown, with my sister and parents. And with all you crazy fucks.
This fell off for a while. Lets see, what have y’all missed? I went to some fairs, ate some nomz, got sick, went to some clubs and bars blah blah blah. Not doing work. Wanna go home. Can’t go home because I’m not done here.
I haz problems. Its getting cold. We’re not seeing the waterfalls. Well fuck you guys, I’ll see the waterfalls alone then. I’m still not registered. I don’t have my visa. I’m a lazy fuck. I haven’t applied yet. Oh well, there’s always tomorrow.
San Telmo search? Tomorrow? Yes. Why not today? Fuck you its cold and 2 hours away, that’s why.

Apparently this is a thing in Bethesda and has been for a while now:

Wish I had known earlier, definitely going this year though. Who’s down?
Apocalypse Now holy shit I watch the craziest movies at the weirdest times.
On an unrelated note I also went and saw The Avengers this weekend. Good Shit.
I’m not wasting my time abroad, shut up. It can’t all be “that time we pounded mate made with Draino, reunified South America into the originally intended Bolivarian state and then danced all night.” Not every weekend at least. And hey, I saw a lot of new places around town this weekend. I discovered a Walmart, found some new bars on a bar crawl, and saw the obelisk. Don’t worry, ours is bigger and prettier. Classes start tomorrow and I’m really not about it. I might skip a few in the coming weeks so that I can do some traveling because while I’m a fan of this city I think I need to step away for a moment. Uruguay is just across the river but there’s also so much to see inside the country, and hell even within the city itself. There are endless things to learn and see, why is life so hard?
To my future wife/mother of my children,
That, up there, is the coolest name in the history of ever and one of our children will be named Isambard Kingdom Schulz-(Your Name Here). We can switch the order of the last names but the first two are non-negotiable. Line starts on the left ladies, right behind the girlfriend who is probably having second thoughts right about now because of the talk of babies/crazy-ass-awesome names.
This motherfucker. Right here.
If you don’t know anything about the Cthulu Mythos or H.P. Lovecraft what follows is going to sound like I’ve gone insane. I’m not ruling that out myself, but just fair warning.
My dad must really love me because the other day he sent me an email entitled “The 13 Most Useless College Majors”. Guess who had one of his two majors on that list?
I do not have enough face or hand to express how fucking stupid this is. So much facepalm.
